A new regional agenda

What is One D?

One D is a collaboration created to transform the Detroit region into one of the world’s greatest. Founded by the CEO’s of six regional civic organizations, One D will focus on the alignment of private, public and non-profit sectors toward the achievement of common priorities.

The One D priorities are:

  • Economic Prosperity
  • Educational Preparedness
  • Quality of Life
  • Race Relations
  • Regional Transit

How is One D Different?

One D is not an organization. Rather, it is a collaborative effort of existing organizations working on regional priorities identified by the public

One D will strive to convene, connect, advocate, leverage and influence to help the region progress in the five priority areas

One D will help local foundations, business and civic leaders and other organizations focus on regional priorities and collaboration

One D will encourage the private sector to speak with a unified voice for the region to impact public policy and funding from Lansing and Washington

One D will measure and report on the work being done in the region that impacts the five priorities
